[Remote] Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a back-end focused Software Engineer for a fully remote, direct-hire opportunity. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications and services, including back-end APIs, containerized software, and secure, maintainable solutions. The engineer will collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills
- • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (will start without and not guaranteed that will be processed for one)
- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise software applications
- • Strong experience building and maintaining back-end services and APIs
- • Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript in production environments
- • Experience working with server-side API frameworks and service-oriented architectures
- • Understanding of software design best practices, object-oriented principles, and maintainable code patterns
- • Experience working within Agile development environments
- • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- • Experience developing and supporting microservices-based applications
- • Hands-on experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar)
- • Familiarity with cloud-hosted or cloud-ready applications
- • Experience working with relational databases, data pipelines, ETL processes, or large-scale data environments
- • Exposure to event-driven or streaming architectures
- • Understanding of secure software development and application security practices
- • Experience integrating with enterprise business platforms or third-party SaaS applications
