[Remote] Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer III oversees application development, installation, maintenance, and performance monitoring, while identifying and resolving business systems issues. The role also involves designing and deploying applications, improving existing systems, documenting solutions, and leading junior-level associates when required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure systems and other software
- Test installed software for malfunction detection
- Identify and resolve business systems issues
- Design and deploy new applications and enhance existing application software and operating systems
- Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
- Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
- Monitor and test system performance
- Maintain full ownership of a process, typically
- Act as a procedural expert, as needed
- Lead the work of junior-level associates, when required
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in a related role
- Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve common objectives
- Proficiency in conducting system analysis to detect performance issues
- Capability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization, and software debugging
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional executional capabilities
- Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware computing systems, and their integration
