[Remote] Software Engineer III
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PTR Global is a provider of information technology and workforce solutions. The Software Engineer III will oversee application development, installation, modification, and maintenance while monitoring system performance and resolving business systems issues. The role also involves developing technology improvement strategies, preparing documentation, and leading junior-level associates as required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure systems and other software
- Test installed software for malfunction detection
- Identify and resolve business systems issues
- Design and deploy new applications and enhance existing application software and operating systems
- Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
- Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
- Monitor and test system performance
- Maintain full ownership of a process, typically
- Act as a procedural expert, as needed
- Lead the work of junior-level associates, as required
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Five (5) years of experience in a related role
- Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve common objectives
- Proficiency in conducting system analysis to detect performance issues
- Capability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization, and software debugging
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong executional capabilities
- Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware computing systems, and their integration
