[Remote] Software Engineer III
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Taco Bell is a restaurant technology company within Yum! Brands. The Software Engineer III will develop and maintain Back of House systems, data routers, and integrations with internal and third-party systems. The role collaborates across engineering, product, security, reliability, and vendor teams while improving data delivery platforms and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop code and unit tests for BOH systems leveraging AI technologies to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with other software engineers, quality engineers (QE), site reliability engineers (SRE), security engineers and product teams across YUM brands and vendor partners to implement software solutions
- Participate in Agile Scrum activities such as daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retros and turnover sessions
- Document and diagram software processes with high-level overview of data flows
- Help create and improve processes or tools. Improve existing code by refactoring
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical discipline; or equivalent years of experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a software developer
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud computing including serverless technologies
- Experience with GitLab, Postman, TypeScript, Serverless Framework, CDK, Cursor
- Employment eligibility to work with Taco Bell in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position
