[Remote] Software Engineer IV
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PTR Global is a provider of information technology and workforce solutions. The Software Engineer IV will oversee application development, installation, maintenance, and system performance, while identifying issues and implementing improvements. The role also provides technical guidance to management and trains junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Provide advice and recommendations to management on processes and techniques for improved operations
- Install and configure systems and other software
- Test installed software to detect and resolve malfunctions
- Identify and resolve business systems issues
- Design and deploy new applications and enhance existing application software and operating systems
- Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
- Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
- Monitor and test system performance
- Oversee the training of junior engineers to enhance job skills and efficiency
- Maintain full ownership of processes and may act as a procedural expert
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Seven (7) years of experience in a related role
- Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve common objectives
- Proficiency in conducting system analysis to detect performance issues
- Capability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization, and software debugging
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional executional capabilities
- Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware computing systems, and their integration
