[Remote] Software Engineer IV

Solomon Page is a specialty niche provider of staffing and executive search solutions, and they are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer IV to lead the design and development of scalable backend solutions for a high-volume eCommerce platform. This role involves enhancing payment infrastructure, building cloud-native microservices, and driving engineering excellence through mentorship and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of new features for the marketplace purchase and payment platforms
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using C# and .NET Core
- Design and develop cloud-native microservices and event-driven architectures
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical leadership to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming, technical guidance, and best engineering practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and system reliability
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions
- Drive continuous improvement through modern software engineering practices and architectural enhancements
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core
- Experience designing and developing cloud-native microservices
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience building high-volume, highly available distributed systems
- Experience with event-driven messaging platforms such as Kafka
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and code review experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in Agile development environments
