[Remote] Software Engineer (Platform Development) – Junior
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Careerswift is seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join its Platform Development team supporting digital health services. The role focuses on building and enhancing a reliable, secure, and scalable platform, developing features and APIs, improving performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain platform features and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new functionality
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues
- Contribute to improving platform performance, reliability, and scalability
- Assist with API development and integration
- Learn and work with modern development tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies
- Stay up to date with software engineering best practices and emerging technologies
Skills
- • 2+ years of commercial software development experience
- • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design fundamentals
- • Experience working with REST APIs
- • Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- • Basic knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
- • Understanding of Agile development methodologies
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- • Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment
- • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- • Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications
- • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
