[Remote] Software Engineer - REMOTE
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Structures Company, LLC is a national aerospace and defense staffing agency that provides contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire workforce solutions. The Software Engineer will develop fixes and business-critical applications, troubleshoot production issues, work with SQL, Springboot, Angular, Python, and Openshift, and manage scheduled jobs and batch processing. The role also provides production support and participates in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage.
Responsibilities
- Develops fixes for tickets received from the Autotime system
- Performs development work for business‑critical tickets as required
- Checks and verifies scheduled jobs to ensure successful completion after hours and on weekends
- Analyzes bug reports and troubleshoots issues in a production environment
- Creates and maintains technical documentation for system fixes and configurations
- Performs database interactions and queries using SQL for troubleshooting and data validation
- Integrates Springboot and Angular applications with underlying systems
- Uses Python for scripting and automation of recurring tasks
- Manages job scheduling and batch processing using Control‑M
- Provides technical support for production issues, ensuring system stability and reliability
Skills
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR)
- Previous experience with Autotime system for ticketing and job scheduling
- Experience with Service Central for ticket management
- Experience with Springboot framework for application development
- Experience with Angular for frontend development
- Experience with Python for scripting and automation
- Experience with SQL for database querying and data validation
- Experience with Openshift for containerized application deployment and management
- Experience with Control‑M for job scheduling and batch processing
- Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours and weekend support
