Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is seeking a contract Open Source Contributor to develop and improve open-source software. The role involves writing production-quality code, optimizing algorithms and system components, resolving technical issues, collaborating with contributors and stakeholders, and maintaining technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Contribute production-quality code, reviews, and documentation to open-source repositories
- Design, implement, and optimize complex algorithms and system components
- Identify and resolve technical challenges, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
- Collaborate with other contributors and stakeholders to align deliverables with project goals
- Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation for knowledge sharing
- Participate in code discussions and provide constructive feedback
Skills
- Have strong relevant experience in contributing to open-source projects
- Applicants must have clear open source contributions and profiles like GitHub or GitLab
- Experience with C++, Python, JAVA, GoLang, Typescript, or Rust is required
- Previous experience working on large-scale, distributed codebases is preferred
- Familiarity with modern AI or machine learning systems is a plus
