[Remote] Software Engineer (Sr. Software Engineer, DOE)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Foureyes is a remote-first software company focused on delivering data-driven AI and software solutions for automotive dealerships. The Software Engineer will build, enhance, and maintain cloud-based applications across multiple products and technology stacks, collaborating with engineering and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, monitor, and support software across multiple products, moving comfortably between diverse technology stacks as business needs evolve
- Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, code review, deployment, and production support
- Partner with product managers and engineers to deliver new capabilities, resolve production issues, and continuously improve our systems
- Write clean, maintainable code, automated tests, and technical documentation
- Design and evolve RESTful APIs and event-driven services with a focus on scalability, security, reliability, and developer experience
- Build resilient distributed systems that prioritize performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability
- Thoroughly test your own code and review and test code written by fellow engineers to ensure end-to-end quality
Skills
- * Minimum 3-5 years of experience with one or more modern programming languages and frameworks such as Python, Java, React, or TypeScript
- * Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS using services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, or similar
- * Experience with SQL, relational databases, Git-based development workflows, and infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar tools
- * Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production systems using observability platforms such as Datadog, Amazon CloudWatch, or similar tools
- * Enthusiasm for AI-assisted software development and an interest in using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar to improve engineering productivity
- * Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies while contributing across multiple products and codebases
- * You have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional full-stack development experience (6+ years for a Sr. SWE) using NodeJS, ReactJS, Python, or Java, along with proficiency in industry-standard programming languages and frameworks
- * Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and RDS, and interfacing with real-time databases
- Authorization to work in the U.S. is required to be considered
- * Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Amazon Bedrock Agents, is a plus
- * You have a strong academic record (CS degree preferred but not required with relevant experience)
