The role involves designing robust components, applying agile practices and modern frameworks, guiding team members, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to architectural decisions, with a focus on AWS Architecture and IBM WebSphere Portal.
Responsibilities
- As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing custom software solutions by designing, coding, and enhancing components across systems or applications
- Your day-to-day activities will involve using modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs
- You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions
- Providing solutions to problems within your immediate team and across multiple teams is a critical part of this role
- Advanced proficiency in AWS Architecture is required
- Advanced proficiency in IBM WebSphere Portal is recommended
- Apply deep technical knowledge to design and implement robust software components that meet evolving business requirement
- Support and guide colleagues by sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment to enhance team performance
- Analyze complex challenges and propose innovative solutions that improve system efficiency and reliability
- Contribute to architectural discussions and influence the direction of software development practices within the team
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and integrate relevant advancements to maintain competitive advantage
