[Remote] Software Engineering Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Franklin Fitch is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers while remaining hands-on with Azure technologies. The role focuses on cloud architecture, platform engineering, cloud-native application development, and delivering scalable, secure, AI-enabled products and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-7 software engineers
- 50% hands-on, 50% hands-off
- Drive Azure cloud architecture, platform engineering, and cloud-native application development
- Own technical decisions across microservices, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, AI-enabled products and platforms
- Balance people leadership with hands-on technical contribution in a 50/50 leadership role
Skills
- 2+ years of formal engineering leadership experience
- 6+ years building cloud-native applications in Azure
- Strong background in .NET/C# development
- Expertise in Azure architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, microservices, and distributed systems
- This role can only be hired in the following locations: • MA, NY, DC, FL, TX, IL
