[Remote] Software Engineers - Space Technology 🚀
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TheDriveGroup is an ambitious Space technology company building software that addresses complex challenges in the aerospace industry. They are seeking Software Engineers to join a small, technical team responsible for developing production software and backend services while collaborating closely with engineers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building production software from the ground up
- Developing backend services and APIs in Python
- Building intuitive interfaces using React and TypeScript (Back End Python experience much more valuable; React is a plus)
- Working with AWS and modern cloud infrastructure
- Solving complex technical and engineering problems
- Working closely with customers to understand how the product needs to evolve
- Making architectural decisions and influencing the direction of the platform
- Taking ownership from idea through to deployment and production
Skills
- Solid software engineering fundamentals
- Professional experience with Python
- Experience building production applications and APIs
- A strong understanding of software design and architecture
- The ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy
- Exposure to React and TypeScript
- Experience working with AWS or another major cloud platform
- Studied or worked in technically complex environments such as robotics, autonomous systems, mechatronics, defence, simulation, embedded systems, mechanical engineering, physics or similar
