[Remote] Software QA Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a Software QA Engineer to support software validation for new features and bug fixes. This role involves approximately 80% manual testing and 20% automation, requiring strong manual QA experience and the ability to work closely with software engineers.
Responsibilities
- Execute manual testing for new software features and bug fixes
- Perform regression testing to ensure releases do not introduce new issues
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate repeatable test activities
- Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and validation documentation
- Support two-week development cycles with approximately 5 new features and 15 bug fixes per sprint
- Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and improve software quality
Skills
- 2+ years of software QA or software testing experience
- Strong manual functional and regression testing experience
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira
- Basic to intermediate Python scripting experience
- Understanding of Agile software development processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Experience with API testing or test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with Git, Linux, or command-line tools
- Experience supporting software products within a large technology environment
