[Remote] Sr Cloud DevOps Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ECS is seeking a Sr Cloud DevOps Engineer to provide technical leadership for the design, implementation, and operations and maintenance of a multi-tenant Web Content Management as a Service platform. The role focuses on optimizing AWS cloud services, leading solution architecture, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams, and mentoring junior engineers while advancing delivery and operational practices.
Responsibilities
- Independently apply a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out, and support of information systems architectures
- Continuously optimize AWS cloud platform services across all integration points
- Serve as a technical SME for cloud services, providers, and platforms
- Lead solution-architecting sessions that evaluate tradeoffs between design, risk, and cost
- Interact closely with key project stakeholders to design, plan, and implement operationally sustainable solutions
- Work closely with the technical team to deliver proposed designs
- Provide thought leadership and design leadership across engineering efforts
- Problem-solve technical challenges as they arise and adjust solutions based on discoveries or new requirements
- Provide regular updates to leadership
- Develop implementation plans reflecting required steps and timeline as well as assigning ownership
- Leverage a data-driven approach to continuous solution, organizational, and workforce improvement
- Optimize performance across multiple teams by suggesting delivery-process improvements aligned to evolving best practices and project context
- Contribute to the professional development of junior engineers through oversight and mentorship
