[Remote] Sr Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Delphi-US is a national IT services firm, and it is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes in cloud environments. The role focuses on developing data infrastructure with AWS, Snowflake, DBT, and modern integration tools, while supporting data quality, migration, deployment, and collaboration across technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement efficient ELT and data pipeline solutions leveraging AWS, Snowflake, and DBT
- Design and develop data integration architectures, including event-driven and batch processing workflows
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Architects, and Data Scientists to understand source data and define transformation requirements
- Troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries and data workflows to ensure high performance and data quality
- Develop and maintain data validation and quality assurance processes
- Support data migration, deployment, and environment setup activities to streamline data operations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, and data warehouse/data lake architecture
- Advanced SQL skills with experience working with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, and SNS
- Proficiency with cloud data integration tools like AWS Glue, Matillion, Dell Boomi, Informatica Cloud, or similar
- Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub
- Familiarity with modern data platforms including Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, APIs, and streaming technologies
- Programming experience with Python, Java, or Scala is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of data management best practices and metadata tools
- Experience with scripting languages and data orchestration
