[Remote] Staff Fullstack Engineer, Clinic
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. WeightWatchers is a global digital health company focused on clinically studied behavioral weight health programs and integrated medical care. The Staff Fullstack Engineer will build and scale clinic platform systems supporting clinician and patient telehealth experiences, including backend services, APIs, frontend applications, and critical healthcare workflows. The role will also contribute to architecture, experimentation, reliability, security, and engineering mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own fullstack features across web and backend systems supporting telehealth workflows (intake, eligibility, prescribing, care plans, follow-ups)
- Partner closely with product, design, and clinical teams to deliver intuitive, compliant, and high - quality user experiences
- Build scalable backend services and APIs that integrate with EHRs, pharmacies, labs, and third - party partners
- Develop modern frontend applications (React - based) that power internal clinician tools and member - facing experiences
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security across critical healthcare flows
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical strategy, and system design for a rapidly evolving platform
- Drive experimentation and iteration, enabling rapid product improvements while maintaining high quality
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar for engineering excellence, code quality, and operational rigor
Skills
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling fullstack applications
- Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript)
- Solid backend experience with Node.js (or similar) building APIs and distributed systems
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
- Strong understanding of system design, data modeling, and scalability
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern deployment practices
- Familiarity with observability, performance tuning, and production debugging
- Ability to operate in a fast - moving environment with high ownership and accountability
