[Remote] Staff Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Right Balance is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to help build next-generation internal platforms for a leading entertainment company. The role focuses on scalable full-stack web applications, APIs, CRM and workflow systems, legacy modernization, architectural leadership, developer productivity, mentoring, and AI-powered features.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable web applications and APIs
- Drive architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems
- Design and develop systems supporting complex business workflows
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions
- Translate operational and business needs into practical technical systems
- Own meaningful technical problems and drive solutions end-to-end
- Improve developer productivity through tooling, automation, and AI-assisted development
- Mentor engineers and help raise the overall technical bar
- Help establish engineering standards, practices, and culture within a growing organization
- Work on modernizing and migrating legacy applications into modern web-based systems
- Develop APIs and services supporting CRM, deal management, relationship management, and workflow platforms
- Contribute to AI-powered features and systems that surface insights from operational data
Skills
- • Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation
- • 10+ years of full-time hands-on Software Engineering experience
- • 6+ years of full-time hands-on React.js/Next.js or similar frontend experience
- • 4+ years of full-time hands-on AWS/Azure/GCP experience
- • Strong full-stack development experience building modern web applications
- • Strong experience designing and building scalable APIs and backend systems
- • Strong architectural and system-design experience
- • Experience working across both frontend and backend environments
- • Strong product instincts and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- • Experience working in environments where systems and processes are evolving
- • Strong communication and collaboration skills
- • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership
- 1. Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications
- 2. Experience building CRM, workflow, or relationship-management platforms
- 3. Experience developing AI-powered applications or features
- 4. Experience working with complex operational or enterprise systems
- 5. Experience in entertainment, media, or other highly collaborative industries

- 8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability
