[Remote] Staff Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The company is a fast-growing Series B AI company seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join its Platform team. The role focuses on building backend products and systems from 0 to 1, scaling them, developing APIs and third-party integrations, and influencing platform architecture.
Responsibilities
- Building products and backend systems from 0 → 1 and then scaling them
- Building APIs and complex third-party integrations
- Developing async / event-driven systems
- Having meaningful influence over technical architecture and the direction of the platform
Skills
- 7–8+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience
- Strong Node.js + TypeScript experience
- Experience building APIs and complex third-party integrations
- Async / event-driven systems
- 0→1 product development and scaling experience
- Startup environments where you've had broad technical ownership
- Strong communication and experience working directly with clients or non-technical stakeholders
- Fully remote — open to candidates in the US, Canada, and Western Europe, with preference for strong overlap with ET hours
- Founder or Founding Engineer experience is a big plus
