[Remote] Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack

The Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack will architect and develop scalable web applications, collaborate on product development, mentor engineers, improve system architecture, and support hiring.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop full-stack web applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features from conception to launch
- Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the engineering team
- Ensure code quality through testing and best practices, creating maintainable and scalable systems
- Contribute to system design discussions, leveraging your experience to improve architecture and performance
- Engage with product and design teams to incorporate user feedback into product iterations
- Participate in hiring processes, identifying and referring top talent to join the team
Skills
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on full-stack development
- Proficient in TypeScript, with deep expertise in both frontend (React, Next.js) and backend (Node.js, MongoDB) technologies
- Proven track record of building and shipping products from 0 to 1 in a startup or scale-up environment
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers, contributing to team growth and success
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs effectively
- Familiarity with additional frontend frameworks such as Vue
- Experience working in the ecommerce or marketing technology sectors
- A history of continuous improvement initiatives within engineering practices and team culture
