[Remote] Systems Configuration Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The company is a renewable energy organization focused on optimizing solar efficiency for utility-scale solar providers across North and South America. The Systems Configuration Engineer will manage and optimize system configurations, create and govern bills of materials, manage product data, support business management processes, and improve engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system configurations to ensure they meet both internal and external requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and provide technical expertise
- Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and govern their usage across the organization
- Leverage Product Data Management (PDM) systems to manage product data and streamline processes
- Utilize NetSuite for business management tasks, including project management, inventory control, and financial tracking
- Implement and oversee BOM governance to ensure consistency and accuracy in product data
- Use AutoCAD, Vault, Inventor, and Fusion for designing, modeling, and documenting engineering processes
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Continuously evaluate and improve system configuration processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
Skills
- 1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Configuration Engineer, preferably in the energy industry
- 3. Proficiency in BOM Creation, Product Data Management, Netsuite, BOM governance, AutoCAD tools (Vault, Inventor, and Fusion)
- 4. Strong understanding of system configuration principles and best practices as it relates to manufacturability
- 5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
- 6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with sensors is a plus
- Experience with meteorological systems/weather systems is a plus
