[Remote] Technical Program Manager - Data Engineering

The company is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead enterprise data engineering, analytics, consulting, and data transformation programs. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, client engagements, delivery governance, technical roadmaps, and scalable data platform solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise data engineering and analytics programs
- Drive project planning, execution, risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communications
- Manage cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Architects, Analysts, QA, and Business Stakeholders
- Own delivery governance, status reporting, budget tracking, and executive-level updates
- Establish project roadmaps and ensure successful execution against agreed milestones
- Coordinate across multiple workstreams to deliver complex data transformation initiatives
- Engage with clients and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor for data modernization, migration, reporting, and analytics initiatives
- Lead workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution discussions
- Manage customer expectations and drive successful business outcomes
- Support pre-sales, effort estimations, solution reviews, and proposal development when needed
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to define data platform strategy and implementation roadmaps
- Ensure adoption of best practices in data architecture, ETL/ELT development, data quality, governance, and performance optimization
- Drive modernization initiatives involving cloud data platforms and advanced analytics ecosystems
- Review technical designs and provide guidance on scalable and resilient data solutions
Skills
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- • 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least:
- • 4+ years in Data Engineering/Data Platform projects
- • 3+ years in Program Management, Technical Project Management, or Delivery Management roles
- • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT, Data Governance, and Analytics solutions
- • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale client-facing delivery programs
- • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
- • Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery models
- Candidate should have hands-on experience with at least 2-3 of the following technologies/platforms:

- • Experience managing globally distributed teams
