[Remote] Technical Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Compunnel Inc. is hiring a Technical Project Manager for a 12-month contract role. The position leads complex technical initiatives, including mainframe transformation and Azure-based projects, while managing stakeholders, risks, budgets, documentation, and Agile delivery across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead the end-to-end management of Mainframe Transformation and Azure-based technical initiatives
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between technical teams, business units, and leadership to ensure alignment
- Technical Oversight: Understand and manage technical solution road maps in Azure, including DevOps CI/CD and software integration strategies
- Agile Delivery: Apply Agile methodologies(Scrum/Kanban)to drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery milestones
- Risk Management: Proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee quality assurance and monitor solution performance in collaboration with technical leads
- Documentation: Ensure the creation and maintenance of key project documents suchas charters, plans, reports, and dashboards
- Compliance: Support RRC’s regulatory obligations in the Oil, Gas, and Energy sector through disciplined delivery and documentation
Skills
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in computer science or a relate d field
- Experience in Technical project management for cloud -based (Azure preferred) enterprise initiatives
- Experience managing SDLC-based projects using Agil e/Scrum
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and related to ols and workflows
- Experience managing or coordinating projects involving .NET Core, C#, SQL Server
- Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional technical teams
- Experience with resource planning, project budgeting, and vendor coordination
- Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting s kills
- Experience in creating project plans, dashboards, Gant t charts, and executive status reports
- Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produc e high-quality work in a dynamic environment
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines
- Extensive skill in effective verbal and written commun ications with stakeholders
- Experience with mainframe modernization or transfor mation projects (added advantage)
