[Remote] Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Tipton Health partners with hospitals and health systems pursuing prestigious nursing designations. The Technical Writer evaluates, edits, and rewrites client narratives and clinical data, consults with clients on accreditation requirements and project management, and ensures deliverables meet formatting and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Critically evaluate client narratives and clinical data against ANCC Magnet®, Pathway to Excellence®, and other healthcare designation requirements
- Complete comprehensive edits and rewrites that pair client stories with clinical data to demonstrate compliance and outcomes
- Coach and consult with clients, synchronously and asynchronously, on accreditation requirements and project management
- Deliver clear, actionable feedback that clients can act on immediately
- Bring every deliverable to life in Tipton's signature “one voice”
- Stay sharp on evolving Magnet/Pathway to Excellence standards and expectations
- Apply rigorous formatting standards and proofread with a critical eye

Skills
- 2–3+ years of accreditation & designation writing, technical writing, or editing experience
- Healthcare designation familiarity a plus, not required
- Proposal or grant-writing experience — you know how to tailor content to strict requirements, work from annotated outlines and templates, and manage version control through iterative edits
- Strong consulting instincts: interpersonal skills, communication, teamwork, and leadership
- Sharp analytical and research skills, and a genuine curiosity about medical and nursing terminology
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a real appetite for learning
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively, often juggling both in the same week
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
