[Remote] Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Clarity Consultants is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the development and launch of a new automated sample preparation product in the biotechnology space. The role involves partnering with software and hardware engineers to create clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, including SOPs, software documentation, hardware safety guides, and ongoing product materials.
Responsibilities
- Partner with software and hardware engineers and other technical SMEs to gather and interpret complex product information
- Develop technical documentation covering hardware, software, user interfaces, and the integration between software and hardware components
- Create and maintain SOPs, software documentation, hardware safety guides, and other product-related materials
- Transform unpolished or highly technical SME content into clear, structured, user-friendly documentation
- Support documentation needs leading up to product launch, as well as post-launch updates and ongoing support
- Work efficiently in an evolving product-development environment and adapt documentation as the product changes
Skills
- Strong technical writing experience, particularly with complex technical products or systems
- Experience translating highly technical information into content that can be understood by audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
- Familiarity with robotics and automation, including both software and hardware components
- Experience partnering directly with software engineers, hardware engineers, or similarly technical SMEs
- Experience developing SOPs, user documentation, safety documentation, or similar technical materials
- Ability to work independently, manage evolving requirements, and quickly turn incomplete or unpolished source material into polished documentation
