[Remote] Technical Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the evolution and maintenance of a large-scale lending manual. The role is responsible for modernizing lending and credit documentation, managing the documentation lifecycle, collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts, and preparing content for searchable knowledge bases and AI-powered tools.
Responsibilities
- Support the continued evolution and maintenance of a large-scale Lending Manual used across the organization
- Work closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to review, update, and publish lending and credit-related documentation
- Translate complex business processes into clear, standardized documentation
- Support a major initiative focused on modernizing lending content, breaking down large policy and guideline documents into streamlined, searchable articles, and ensuring language consistency for both end users and emerging AI-powered tools
- Own the documentation lifecycle from identifying needed revisions through stakeholder collaboration, approval management, publication, and communication of updates
- Manage feedback from multiple reviewers while driving projects to completion
Skills
- 5-10+ years of Technical Writing experience
- Experience creating, editing, and maintaining process, policy, procedure, or operational documentation
- Banking, lending, credit, financial services, or regulated industry experience
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Experience managing document review and approval processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to standardize content across large documentation sets
- Experience using Microsoft Word and SharePoint for document management
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve documentation quality and efficiency
- Lending policy, lending manual, or credit policy documentation experience
- Knowledge of lending operations and credit terminology
- Farm Credit experience
- Agriculture industry experience
- Experience reorganizing or modernizing large knowledge bases or content repositories
- Experience supporting AI knowledge management, content optimization, or AI assistant initiatives
- Ability to provide writing samples demonstrating technical documentation expertise
- Experience converting long-form documentation into modular, searchable content structures
