[Remote] UniVerse Development Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Experis is seeking a UniVerse Development Engineer to support software development projects. The role focuses on designing and enhancing applications using Universe BASIC and Multi-Value databases, integrating with internal and external systems, maintaining legacy code, and collaborating across the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance applications using Universe BASIC and Universe Multi-Value databases
- Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems utilizing technologies such as HTTP, XML, and RPC
- Analyze and extend complex legacy and custom-developed codebases to improve functionality and performance
- Develop solutions based on detailed functional and technical specifications to meet business needs
- Collaborate with business and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality and efficiency
Skills
- 10+ years of current, hands-on development experience with Universe BASIC and Universe Multi-Value databases
- Proven track record in developing new functionality and application enhancements, focusing on innovation and quality
- Experience integrating Universe applications with external systems via HTTP, XML, RPC, or similar technologies
- Ability to learn, maintain, and enhance custom applications developed by others effectively
- Experience working within formal SDLC processes and adhering to development standards
