[Remote] Visual Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Trilyon, Inc. is seeking a Visual Designer to support product education focused on using AI in education and small businesses. The role will create visual assets, design systems, storyboards, templates, and reusable components for educational videos and related content, while collaborating with producers, writers, subject matter experts, motion designers, and editors.
Responsibilities
- Design visual assets for educational videos, including diagrams, motion graphics, animations, and on-screen text treatments that clarify complex or technical topics
- Partner with producers, writers, and subject matter experts to turn technical concepts into visuals that are accurate and easy to understand
- Develop and maintain a visual language and design system for product education content, spanning video, in-product guidance, and written materials
- Build templates, motion presets, and reusable components that let the broader team produce consistent content efficiently
- Storyboard and previsualize graphics and animation sequences before production begins
- Collaborate with video producers and editors to integrate designed assets into finished videos
- Design thumbnails across the content library, not just for video, so they're consistent and inviting wherever they appear
- Design badges and other visual markers that recognize what someone has learned
- Adapt educational content into social-ready assets, giving it a light presence beyond the platform it was made for
- Review and refine designs based on feedback from stakeholders and signals from how content actually performs
- Identify opportunities to improve the visual quality or clarity of existing content, and bring proposals forward proactively
- Stay current on motion design, information design, and educational content trends relevant to technical audiences
Skills
- Must include Samples/Portfolio to be shortlisted
- Strong design systems experience
- Good art direction / visual sense — knows where things should live and how they should look
- Can collaborate effectively with motion designers (does •not• need to know motion graphics themselves)
- SF office preferred but Open to fully remote, but candidate must work PST or MST hours
