[Remote] W2 Sr. Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. TPI Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a long-term contract role with potential extension and conversion. The role focuses on designing, building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex data pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Python, AWS, and related data engineering technologies, with emphasis on financial data and AI-enabled engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Strong experience building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex data pipelines
- Strong ETL/ELT pipeline development
- Experience building/maintaining Databricks reporting layers
- Candidate must be highly proactive
- Should understand the full lifecycle and architecture of data pipelines , not just individual development tasks
- Must be able to demonstrate practical examples of how they have used AI in their engineering work
Skills
- 10+ years of Data Engineering experience , preferably with complex banking/financial data pipelines
- Strong experience building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex data pipelines
- Hands-on (5+ years) Databricks and Snowflake
- Strong ETL/ELT pipeline development
- Strong Apache Spark / PySpark / Python
- Understanding of data architecture and end-to-end pipeline scope
- Experience building/maintaining Databricks reporting layers
- Strong understanding of data warehouses and data schemas
- Experience with AWS services
- Knowledge of file management systems and queue management
- Data quality, reconciliation, security, and compliance experience
- Ability to work with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
- Candidates need a baseline level of AI forwardness
- Must be able to demonstrate practical examples of how they have used AI in their engineering work
- Candidate must be highly proactive
- Should understand the full lifecycle and architecture of data pipelines , not just individual development tasks
- Visa: USC or GC only
- Location: 100% Remote
- Preferred Hours: PST; team primarily operates in EST
- Finance/banking data engineering experience is highly preferred
- Experience with reconciliation-type work is a plus
- Experience supporting Treasury/Operations within Coinbase or similar financial operations environments would be valuable
- Familiarity with the CMR Platform is relevant
