[Remote] Workday Application Developer

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States. The Workday Application Developer will support Workday configuration, reporting, calculated fields, business process design, integrations, and Workday Extend application development while translating stakeholder requirements into maintainable solutions. The role also involves collaboration with cross-functional partners, code and design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- The role spans technical configuration, custom report design, integration support, and lightweight application extension work, helping HR, finance, and IT stakeholders get more value from the Workday platform
- In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers
Skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Five or more years of Workday technical experience
- Deep expertise in Workday report writer including advanced and composite reports
- Strong proficiency with calculated fields across HCM and Finance
- Hands-on experience configuring business processes and condition rules
- Strong understanding of Workday security framework
- Experience with PRISM Analytics or Workday Extend
- Familiarity with Workday tenant management and release process
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Workday Pro certifications
- Experience with Workday Extend application development
- Familiarity with PRISM data ingestion and modeling
- Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments
- Experience supporting Workday Payroll or Workday Financials
