[Remote] Workday Integrations Engineer

The company is seeking a Workday Financial Integrations Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert, building and architecting Workday integrations for financial systems. The role involves translating functional requirements, developing reports and forms, leveraging Workday Prism and Orchestrate, and collaborating with financial and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build Workday Studio Integrations from scratch, unassisted, in novel situations
• Utilize Workday Web services to inbound complex data into Workday systems, applying deep experience with SOAP XML & REST APIs
• Able to gather requirements, spec projects, lead meetings with internal and external teams, update shareholders, and build integrations
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to translate functional requirements from accountants and financial analysts into actionable design
• Display a strong ability to build calculated fields, custom reports, and matrix reports
• Proficient in building BIRT forms and deploying them to the Workday UI; as well as building BIRT forms and embedding them within Studio assemblies
• Identify use cases for Workday Prism, building solutions from scratch
• Comfort working autonomously and serving as the go-to expert with Workday integrations

Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with building and supporting integrations for the core functional areas of Workday Financials as well as Prism and Accounting Center
• Mastered XSLT and possess experience with XSL 3.0
• Familiarity with the appropriate use cases for EIBs, Core Connectors, Document Transformations, RaaS calls, and Studio Integrations
• Strong understanding of the Workday data object model and Workday business processes—especially those involved in Workday payment networks, settlement, customer management, general ledger posting rules, and bank account routing rules
• Knowledge of when to use Workday Orchestrate vs Workday Studio
• Firm grasp of Workday security setups (User-based security, security domains, integration system security) and a solid knowledge of server authentication and protocol negotiation
• Familiarity with finance and accounting terminology and processes
• You are a true team player who thrives in a supportive, cross-functional environment
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making in day-to-day work
