[HIRING][REMOTE] Mid/Senior Ruby on Rails + AWS DevOps Engineer, $12 - $30/hour Argo is the best boating app, designed to enhance the boating experience by helping users discover and navigate to new destinations. Full-time availability, fully REMOTE contract work. Direct contract with Argo, no intermediaries. Role Description We are looking for bright individuals with strong problem-solving skills, interested in building and scaling backend systems with Ruby on Rails, and a strong background in AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices, for a USA-based company targeting Latin American candidates. Direct contract with Argo.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Ruby on Rails backend development, including API design and database modeling (PostgreSQL)
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and infrastructure as code with Terraform
Experience with performance optimization, monitoring, and incident response for production systems; experience with Sidekiq, Redis, or event-driven architectures is a big plus
Good written and spoken English
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
