Sales Engineer

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

We are seeking for an experienced Sales Engineer to support our commercial growth and act as the technical bridge between customers, sales teams, product teams, and delivery teams.

Role Overview

This is a customer-facing technical role for someone who already has solid experience in cybersecurity, presales, technical consulting, or solution engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to understand complex customer environments, translate business and security challenges into clear technical solutions, and support enterprise sales cycles with confidence and professionalism.

This role is best suited for candidates who can operate independently, communicate with senior stakeholders, and bring both technical depth and business awareness to every customer interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team during customer meetings, discovery sessions, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution workshops.
  • Engage with CISOs, CTOs, IT Managers, Security Teams, Compliance Officers, and business decision-makers.
  • Understand customer business objectives, cybersecurity challenges, technical environments, compliance requirements, and risk exposure.
  • Present AI2Cyber’s solutions clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Design tailored technical solutions based on customer requirements, maturity level, and security priorities.
  • Prepare and deliver demos, proof-of-concept plans, technical workshops, solution walkthroughs, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Translate customer needs into technical proposals, solution descriptions, implementation approaches, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process.
  • Identify technical risks, objections, gaps, and dependencies during the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Sales teams to align customer expectations with AI2Cyber’s capabilities.
  • Provide structured feedback to internal teams based on customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights.
  • Support customer onboarding and handover to delivery or implementation teams.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, AI-driven security technologies, threat intelligence, compliance requirements, and competitive solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Sales Engineering, Presales Engineering, Cybersecurity Consulting, Security Architecture, Security Engineering, Solution Engineering, or a similar technical customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and enterprise security challenges.
  • Proven experience participating in technical sales cycles, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, technical validation, proposal support, and customer presentations.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience working directly with customers in professional, structured, and high-expectation environments.
  • Solid knowledge in areas such as vulnerability management, penetration testing, cloud security, application security, threat detection, SIEM, SOC operations, DevSecOps, risk management, or security automation.
  • Ability to understand customer environments quickly and propose practical, realistic, and value-driven solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of customer-facing technical activities.
  • Professional maturity, attention to detail, and the ability to represent AI2Cyber with credibility.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-based cybersecurity platforms, automation tools, or agentic security solutions.
  • Background in offensive security, vulnerability research, red teaming, DevSecOps, or security automation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Nessus, Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Splunk, ELK, Wazuh, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, GitHub security tools, or cloud security platforms.
  • Understanding of frameworks and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, SOC 2, PCI DSS, CIS Controls, NIST, or MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers, public sector organizations, MSSPs, or regulated industries.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, eJPT, PNPT, OSCP, CISSP, CCSP, AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who bring real-world experience, not only theoretical knowledge.

The ideal candidate has already worked in demanding cybersecurity or technical sales environments and can confidently handle discussions with senior technical and business stakeholders.

They should be able to challenge assumptions, ask the right questions, identify customer pain points, and explain how AI2Cyber can deliver measurable value.

This is not an entry-level role. Candidates are expected to bring proven experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to contribute from day one.

Reporting Line

The Sales Engineer will report to the Head of Sales / Commercial Director and will work closely with the Technical, Product, and Delivery teams.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing AI and cybersecurity company.
  • Exposure to advanced AI-driven cybersecurity technologies.
  • Collaboration with experienced cybersecurity professionals.
  • Direct involvement in strategic customer conversations and commercial growth.
  • Ability to influence product direction through customer and market feedback.
  • Flexible working environment.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities.
