Senior Data Analyst

Location: Remote or Hybrid (Cardiff) | Salary: Up to £48,000 | Contract: Permanent

Join Target Group as a Senior Data Analyst and play a central role in protecting data quality across day-to-day services and client migrations. You will connect business and technical teams, turning complex data issues into clear, practical solutions and helping stakeholders make informed decisions throughout the migration lifecycle. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on analysis with visible leadership, advising colleagues and clients from early requirements through dress rehearsals and go-live activity. You are likely to enjoy the role if you are naturally inquisitive, comfortable exploring detail and confident explaining technical findings in plain English. How you will contribute:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of Data Management activities, maintaining data and system integrity while managing risks and issues effectively.
  • Analyse and resolve complex data queries across existing portfolios and new client migrations, communicating findings clearly to business and technical audiences.
  • Guide projects through the migration lifecycle, from refining requirements and implementation planning to dress rehearsals and go-live activity.
  • Reconcile, profile and validate data during onboarding, ensuring stakeholders understand findings that could affect migration or ongoing servicing.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers and internal teams as the servicing data expert, contributing to workshops, meetings and bid responses.
  • Improve data-quality tools, reporting and controls to identify issues and strengthen processes.
  • Develop reliable automated solutions that reduce manual effort, processing time, errors and operational risk.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • Strong practical SQL experience analysing, profiling, reconciling and validating complex data from multiple sources.
  • Experience using Python to analyse data, automate repeatable processes and create reusable data-quality and reconciliation controls.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or an equivalent cloud data platform, including data pipelines, analytical datasets, notebooks and reporting solutions.
  • Power BI experience, including Power Query, data modelling, KPI development and DAX.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving ability, including trend, variance, anomaly and root-cause analysis.

  • Knowledge and experience with Centrac is desirable
