Senior Data Scientist
Senior Data Scientist They are seeking Senior Data Scientist to join a major global leader in the transportation and vehicle rental sector. This is a remote role where you will play a pivotal part in a large scale business transformation. They are looking for a technical expert who can translate complex data into actionable strategies that improve operations, forecasting, and the overall customer journey. In this role, you will manage the entire machine learning lifecycle, from initial exploratory data analysis to final deployment and ongoing monitoring. You will work closely with departments like operations, product development, and revenue management to build scalable tools that increase profitability and efficiency. Beyond technical execution, you will be responsible for storytelling with data, helping executive leadership understand the insights behind the numbers to guide high level decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee end to end model development including feature engineering and tuning. Apply data science to optimize fleet logistics, demand prediction, and maintenance schedules. Collaborate with cross functional teams to prioritize high impact projects. Develop minimum viable products and iterate quickly to prove business value. Mentor junior team members and foster an environment of continuous learning. Utilize cloud platforms to build dashboards and automated analytical applications.
Required Qualifications
At least five years of professional experience in data science with a history of delivering successful projects. Expertise in Python and SQL for modeling and automated data processing. A minimum of three years focused on end to end machine learning development. Extensive experience working with large datasets and distributed processing tools like PySpark. Experience with cloud based analytics environments such as Databricks is highly preferred. Familiarity with using large language models to streamline data validation and analysis is a significant plus. Bachelor degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, or mathematics. Preferred Industry Experience Professional background in transportation, logistics, hospitality, or the automotive industry is highly desirable.
