Senior Hazardous Locations Engineer Global Certification Body | Fully Remote | Competitive + Benefits The role: An international certification body is hiring a Senior Hazardous Locations Engineer to lead Ex product evaluations and certification decisions. Fully remote, with occasional travel to labs and manufacturer sites. What you’ll do: Evaluate equipment against IEC 60079 and ISO/IEC 80079 for IECEx, ATEX and UKEx certification Assess products for North American approvals (UL, CSA, FM; NEC/CEC Class/Division and Zone) Review designs and test data across Ex d, e, i, p, m, n and t protection concepts Write and sign off assessment reports, and carry out factory audits Mentor junior engineers and act as technical reviewer for the team What you’ll bring: 10+ years in hazardous locations engineering, Ex certification or testing Strong knowledge of IEC 60079, IECEx, ATEX, UKEx and North American haz loc standards Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17065 and 17025 Degree in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience IECEx CoPC is a plus Interested?
