Senior Java Backend Developer

Job Title: Senior Java Backend Developer (GCP) Location: Remote (USA) Duration: Contract Experience Required: 14–15 Years Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-grade backend solutions. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot - Build and manage Microservices-based architecture - Develop and consume RESTful APIs - Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability - Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams - Implement secure coding practices and API security - Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions - Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions Required Skills - 14+ years of experience in backend development - Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA - Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture - Solid experience with GCP services (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, etc.) - Strong knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle) - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with healthcare clients like CVS Health - Knowledge of cloud security and IAM concepts - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments - GCP certification is a plus Nice to Have - Experience with Kafka / event-driven architecture - Familiarity with Terraform (IaC) - Exposure to monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
