Senior Python Developer with Kubernetes ( CONTRACTOR)
We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in Python (Rust is a plus) to join a fully remote team working on challenging software engineering projects. What you’ll do Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software using Python (Rust is a plus) Experience with Kubernetes Work on the evolution and optimization of existing systems and applications Contribute to architectural and technical decisions Identify opportunities to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability Collaborate with other engineers in a fully remote, international environment Participate in the migration and modernization of Python-based systems where applicable Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices Requirements 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong experience with Python Solid understanding of software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and engineering best practices Experience building and maintaining production-grade software Fluent English — strong communication skills are essential Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment Nice to have Experience migrating or rewriting Python applications/services in Rust Experience identifying parts of Python systems where Rust can deliver meaningful performance improvements Experience with distributed systems, APIs, backend development, or performance optimization Experience working with international teams Work Model 100% Remote Senior-level position Fluent English required
