Senior Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description Summary
The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation for structural casting suppliers. You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, own supplier audits, ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed. You should have in-depth knowledge of quality management best practices and have working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
- Drive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliers
- Identify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved delivery
- Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibility
- Identifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closure
- Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
- Present product / program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Utilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing

- Sub-commodity leadership experience
- Experience in airfoils or structural castings
- Experience managing quality or manufacturing teams

Pay and Benefits:
- The salary range for this position is $ 116,000.00 - 154,000.00 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
