Position Summary - Technical Artist
Working closely with the team to understand the artistic direction, gameplay intentions, and technical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Actively problem-solve art ideas and processes to budget and performance;
- Develop and optimize shaders, materials, and lighting to ensure both visual quality and performance;
- Define staging for our Unity Projects;
- Optimize graphics and layouts and create mock-ups for our Unity Programmer;
- Implement an effective, flexible UI for different mobile platforms;
- Create mock-up interfaces for mobile games;
- Update live events using the Addressable system;
- Constant performance and build size optimisation;
- Create documentation and mentor content developers.
Who you are:
- You have experience with 2D animation and particle systems in Unity and are familiar with animating 2D assets;
- Experience with Unity and C#;
- Knowledge of shader development (HLSL) and the Unity rendering pipelines (URP/HDRP);
- You have knowledge of technical constraints, optimization, and implementation;
- You know how to prototype, test, and implement new features quickly;
- You’re a proactive learner and eager to develop your skills;
- You have excellent teamwork skills;
- You are fluent in English;
- A portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skill is required.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience working in an agile project environment;
- Affinity with casual games;
- Knowledge of and interest in usability and freemium best practices;
- Experience in user interface design on multiple platforms.
