Role Description The Senior Visualization Professional will design, develop, and maintain advanced visualizations that transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders and clients. This contract role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, selecting appropriate visualization techniques, and building interactive dashboards, reports, and visual assets. Day-to-day work includes data exploration, creating prototypes, refining visual narratives, documenting standards, and ensuring consistency with brand and usability guidelines. The position is remote, with responsibilities that include participating in virtual meetings, sharing progress, and iterating on deliverables based on feedback while meeting agreed timelines and quality expectations.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms) and the ability to design clear, compelling dashboards. Strong skills in data analysis and modeling, including experience working with large or complex datasets and applying best practices for data structure and preparation. Proficiency in visual design principles, information architecture, and storytelling with data to communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences. Experience collaborating with product, analytics, or business teams to gather requirements, translate needs into visual solutions, and iterate based on feedback. Familiarity with scripting or programming languages used in analytics or visualization (for example, SQL, Python, R, or JavaScript libraries like D3.js) is beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document standards and present work in a clear, structured manner. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a contract setting. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Data Science, Design, Computer Science, or Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience.
