Sr. Business Analyst with Oil and Gas experience

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Business Analyst in Oil and Gas with report-development experience for a 100% remote position, preferably in Texas. This is a year-long contract position that can be renewed for 3 years. Candidates without Oil and Gas report-development experience will be rejected. Duties include using multiple methods to gather, develop, and document requirements; reviewing, assessing, and developing business processes; creating and validating user acceptance testing; and providing research and special project support to users. This role will work with limited to minimal direction, with considerable latitude to use initiative and independent judgment. This position analyzes and documents multiple interrelated report-related projects. The work focuses on data, including data analysis, root cause analysis of data errors, data flow documentation, report development, and posting data on the Open Data Portal or the client's website. Requires knowledge and background in Power BI, Snowflake, and data publishing. Ensures deliverables and materials are produced and maintained in accordance with established processes and procedures, meet consistent quality standards, and use accepted business analysis methodologies. May assign and/or supervise the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude to use initiative and independent judgment. Required Skills: Years Required/Preferred 8 years of experience; strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, written/verbal/ presentation communication skills in English 8 years of experience in gathering requirements and creating reports 8 years of experience; facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and working with business area personnel to design technical solutions 4 years of experience; Participating in and providing guidance to business and in developing and completing user acceptance testing, training, and implementation-related activities 2 years of experience with Snowflake and Power BI 2 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as requested.
