About Roq.adWe are building a global identity resolution system for the open Internet.We use ourMachine Learning algorithm to analyse dozens of terabytes of data daily and predict deviceprofiles for hundreds of millions of people.We started out in 2015 in Berlin and Poznan.Then, we opened our office in Vilnius andLondon.In 2020 we started to conquer the United States, from San Francisco.We seekengineers to join our technical hub in Poznan, Poland.We are looking for an experienced System Admin & Security Specialist to join our team.Witha high degree of responsibility, you'll play an active role in helping shape this large digitaladvertising market in Europe and the wider future of Roq.ad.The candidate will play anactive role in our future and work with us either remotely or from one of our hubs in the US.Your responsibilitiesConfigure, maintain and update hundreds of servers in our clustersHelp to design and implement scalable and highly available systemsEnsure uninterrupted working of the administered systemsSupport developers with your operating system knowledgeAutomate boring parts of systems' administrationCare of our infrastructure's securityDocument and collaborate in WIKI, JIRA & GitHub.What we expect from youYou must have the following :Problem solving attitude and love for automating thingsUnderstanding of Linux operating system on an advanced levelPractical experience with AWS (IAM and S3)Practical experience with KubernetesPractical knowledge of bash, Python or other scripting languagePractical experience with Chef, Puppet or AnsibleAbility to rapidly learn new technologiesKnowledge of REST architectural style and HTTP protocolEnglish (read and write documentation)Optional, but works in your favour :Knowledge of the following technologies :Apache Kafka, Apache Spark,Avro, Apache Parquet, Hadoop, ProxmoxDeep understanding of JVM (memory management and garbage collection, Javamemory model, concurrency, etc.)Fluency in EnglishWhat we offerWork with an extremely motivated and skilled team of top performersA competitive salaryHardware and software of your choice (laptop machine with Linux, OSX orWindows, external monitor, IntelliJ IDEA, etc.)Conference budgetCompany team building retreats in attractive locationsSend your application with CV attached to email protected .
