Traveling Mechanical Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Mission Critical Construction Location: Wisconsin (Traveling Opportunity) Industry: Mechanical Construction / Mission Critical / Data Centers Compensation: $105,000–$155,000 Base Salary (DOE) + Annual Bonus + Vehicle Allowance + Travel Package + Industry Leading Benefits Package About the Opportunity Our client, a nationally recognized, employee-owned mechanical design-build contractor, is seeking experienced Mechanical Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to support a major hyperscale data center development in Wisconsin. This opportunity is specifically geared toward construction professionals with a strong background in mechanical contracting, HVAC, piping, plumbing, and large-scale mechanical systems. Our client is responsible for significant mechanical construction packages across a multi-building mission-critical development, involving complex cooling infrastructure, high-reliability mechanical systems, and extensive coordination between engineering, field operations, and project management teams. The Role Lead the delivery of large-scale mechanical construction packages, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and cooling infrastructure. Take ownership of project financials, scheduling, labor forecasting, procurement, and overall project performance. Work closely with superintendents, foremen, craft professionals, and engineering teams to coordinate field execution and resolve technical challenges. Provide hands-on leadership to project teams, supporting efficient delivery, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Strong project management experience with a mechanical contractor , including direct responsibility for HVAC, piping, plumbing, or related mechanical construction scopes. Demonstrated ability to independently manage project financials, forecast labor, track field production, and lead teams. Experience delivering large, technically complex commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, or mission-critical projects. Data center experience is highly desirable, although candidates with significant mechanical construction experience in other complex sectors will also be considered. Collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to work independently and effectively alongside field teams. Willingness to work onsite Monday through Friday in Wisconsin, with periodic travel home.
