Role Description The Vice President of Business Development is a full-time remote role responsible for leading growth initiatives and expanding Code Blue Consulting’s client portfolio in the medical device and wireless sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, nurturing strategic relationships, and overseeing the sales pipeline. The role involves developing and executing business plans, leading proposal development, and negotiating contracts that align with company objectives and client needs. This position also manages key accounts, collaborates with consulting and technical teams to tailor solutions, and tracks market trends to inform commercial strategy. The Vice President of Business Development is expected to set performance targets, monitor results, and refine approaches to drive sustainable revenue growth.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in New Business Development and Sales, with a track record of securing and growing client engagements. Experience in Business Planning, including market analysis, go-to-market strategy, and revenue forecasting. Strong Contract Negotiation skills, with the ability to structure agreements that balance client needs and organizational objectives. Proficiency in Account Management, including relationship building, retention strategies, and cross-selling or upselling services. Background in consulting or business development within medical devices, wireless technology, or related regulated industries. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders. Strategic mindset, analytical capabilities, and comfort working with data to inform decisions and measure outcomes. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across virtual teams.
