Role Description The Vice President of Customer Strategy is a full-time remote role responsible for shaping and executing the community’s approach to member engagement, satisfaction, and growth. This position oversees the development of customer-centric strategies to improve learning experiences, resource accessibility, and community interaction across all platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing member feedback and participation data, designing initiatives that enhance retention and engagement, and collaborating with community leaders, content teams, and technical contributors to align programs with member needs. The role includes building strategic partnerships, optimizing digital touchpoints, and implementing processes to ensure that community members receive consistent, high-quality support. The Vice President of Customer Strategy will also mentor team members, establish performance metrics, and report on key outcomes to guide long-term community development.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills and experience using data to understand customer behavior, measure engagement, and inform decision-making. Proven Strategic Planning and Digital Strategy capabilities to design and implement member-focused initiatives across online channels. Background in Consulting and stakeholder management to translate community needs into actionable programs and improvements. Understanding of Finance to manage budgets, forecast resource needs, and evaluate the impact of strategic initiatives. Experience in community management, customer experience, or product strategy, ideally within technology, education, or developer-focused environments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed setting. Demonstrated leadership experience, including guiding cross-functional teams and driving projects from concept to execution. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage. Familiarity with Python and the broader tech ecosystem (AI, ML, Data Science, Web Development) is beneficial for understanding member needs.
