Vice President of Finance
Role Description The Vice President of Finance is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the financial strategy and operations of New Energy Invest. This position oversees budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support the company’s digital products and startup initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting cycles, reviewing and analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role also involves building and optimizing financial processes, partnering with leadership on investment decisions, and providing data-informed insights for strategic growth. The Vice President of Finance will lead and mentor the finance team, drive continuous improvement in financial performance, and collaborate closely with product, operations, and data teams to align financial outcomes with business goals.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in senior financial leadership roles within technology, digital products, or high-growth companies. Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term strategic financial modeling. Hands-on experience preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal stakeholders and external parties. Advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and data insights into clear recommendations and decisions. Experience in remote team leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management at the executive level. Knowledge of investment analysis, capital allocation, and performance metrics for digital and data-driven businesses. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA) is advantageous. Strong communication skills, integrity in financial stewardship, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory leadership practices.
