Role Description The Vice President of Marketing Communications is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the development and execution of the organization’s overall marketing and communications strategy. This role oversees brand positioning, messaging, and integrated campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels to support business growth and client engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the marketing communications team, setting strategic priorities, aligning communications plans with business objectives, and collaborating with senior leadership on go-to-market and thought leadership initiatives. The Vice President will oversee media relations, content strategy, and internal communications, ensuring consistent, compelling, and inclusive messaging. This role also involves monitoring performance metrics, optimizing campaigns based on data insights, and managing budgets and external agency or vendor relationships.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Marketing Communications and Strategic Communications, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication plans. Proficiency in Marketing and Integrated Marketing, including experience leading multi-channel campaigns and aligning brand, demand generation, and content strategies. Experience in Media Relations, including managing press outreach, handling inquiries, and building relationships with key journalists and industry influencers. Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams and collaborating with executive stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including experience with marketing analytics, KPIs, and data-driven decision-making. Experience in digital marketing, brand management, and corporate communications for technology or digital services organizations is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an asset. Comfort working remotely, with strong time-management, organization, and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
