• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including subjects such as math, literacy, physical education, and creative writing.
• Deliver live virtual lessons that cater to different learning styles and adapt instructional methods for students with special education needs.
• Incorporate educational technology tools to enhance engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
• Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, standardized tests, and formative evaluations; provide timely feedback to support growth.
• Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and instructional modifications.
• Manage classroom responsibilities virtually by establishing rules, fostering respectful interactions, and promoting positive behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate regularly with fellow teachers and educational administrators to share best practices, coordinate curriculum implementation, and ensure compliance with educational regulations.

Experience

• Proven teaching experience with teenagers in middle school or high school settings, preferably in a virtual or hybrid environment.
• Strong background in core academic subjects such as math (including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry), literacy education, and creative writing.
• Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and those requiring special education accommodations.
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital assessment tools.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional modifications, standardized testing preparation, and educational compliance standards like the Chicago Manual of Style or AP style guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor students effectively while managing classroom responsibilities virtually.
• Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher interactions and public speaking engagements during virtual events or student presentations.
• Prior experience in private or public school settings is advantageous; Montessori or childhood development background is a plus.
