Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading Arden’s financial strategy, operations, and reporting. The CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and investor expectations. This role includes managing financial statements, cash flow, and capital allocation, as well as building and maintaining robust financial controls and compliance practices. The CFO will collaborate closely with executive leadership on fundraising, investor relations, and strategic initiatives, including pricing, go-to-market planning, and resource deployment. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve leading the finance function, mentoring team members, implementing systems and tools, and providing clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in strategic financial leadership in a high-growth or startup environment. Ability to lead Financial Planning and forecasting, including budgeting, scenario modeling, and long-term financial strategy. Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Advanced Analytical Skills to convert complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-level communication. Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and capital markets; prior work with VC-backed companies is highly beneficial. Expertise in building and scaling finance operations, including systems, controls, and compliance with relevant regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced qualification is a plus. Interest in AI, manufacturing, industrial automation, or related sectors is highly advantageous.
